Charles Bentley work with a number of worldwide organisations to ensure that official standards are met an abided to. We work closely with the following organisations –


FSCⓇ (Forest Stewardship Council) – FSC runs a global forest certification system with two key components: Forest Management and Chain of Custody certification. This system allows consumers to identify, purchase and use wood, paper and other forest products produced from well-managed forests and/or recycled materials.

Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) – Charles Bentley & Son Ltd is a member of Sedex (www.sedexglobal.com) . Sedex is home to one of the world’s largest collaborative platform for buyers, suppliers and auditors to store, share and report on information quickly and easily. The platform is used by more than 38,000 members in over 150 countries to manage performance around labour rights, health & safety, the environment and business ethics.

Sedex is not a standard setting body and doesn’t approve or certify our policies and standards. Instead, being a member of Sedex is a sign of Charles Bentley’s willingness to share information and to use this information to help manage and improve ethical standard within the supply chain.

CHSA (Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Associations)  – The CHSA represents all the major manufacturers and distributors, from global multinationals and national networks to privately owned independent businesses. Mr James Bentley from Charles Bentley & Son Ltd is an official board member.

BSI (British Standard Association) -BSI is the national standards body of the United Kingdom. BSI produces technical standards on a wide range of products and services, and also supplies certification and standards-related services to businesses.

ABMA (American Brush Manufacturers Association) – The ABMA exists to help North American brush manufacturers by enhancing industry knowledge, providing an unparalleled variety of networking opportunities and promoting profitability for its members and the industry.
